All children at Fun & Frolic have a morning snack period incorporated into their daily program.
For the kids, this is a crucial period of the day. First of all and foremost, meal break keeps the kids nourished and manages their energy levels for upcoming activities. While consuming a nutritious snack, many interpersonal, emotional, and intellectual skills are also developed and bolstered.
Listed below are some of the critical abilities that your toddler is learning at Fun & Frolic during snack time.
Self-Help Skills: Children pick up the use of cutlery during snack time. Additionally, kids are urged to lay the placemat on the tabletop and wear bibs or aprons.
Expressive Language Skills: Teachers provide children examples of questions and answers. For instance, the teacher might assist the students in using words like thank you and please you if they would like extra of a given snack (sandwich, rice, etc.). The objective is for the youngster to independently use the language to express his or her needs in any setting.
Number Sense: A youngster may notice certain details during the talk at snack time, such as the number of idlis on the dish. This is the most relaxed form of play-based learning! Counting with counting, addition, subtraction, you name it, all require the arithmetic skill of understanding what constitutes a number (i.e. that five things comprise the number 5).
Social Skills: Children have the ideal opportunity to interact with their teachers and friends at snack time. At each break time, teachers frequently arrange kids deliberately next to various classmates so that they can talk to (and get to know) everyone in the room.
Life Skills: Parents can delegate some tasks to their children at home, such as setting the dining table. Children enjoy helping, and assigning them a task at home will boost their self-confidence.
